sad news!
I just found out that Gordon B. Hinckley, the Prophet and President of my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away a couple hours ago. He was a wonderful, inspired man, led by the Spirit in all things. So much for our church has been accomplished with him at the helm, including the building and dedication of many, MANY of our temples and much missionary work. He truly loved God and his fellow men, no matter whether they were members of our church or not, and he will be sorely missed. It was from complications of old age, and considering he was 97 years old, I'd say that he lived a full and productive life.The happy side of things is that he is no longer ailed by the trappings of old age, and he has got to be so happy to finally be reunited with his wife, who passed away awhile ago. I think he was ready to go right then, but he just had to tie up a few loose ends for the Lord first.
We love you President Hinckley, and miss you so much already. Thank you for all you have done for our church, and may you find peace and joy in the hereafter.
