time flies

Ok, just so everyone knows, yes, I am alive. No, I haven't fallen off the edge of the world. I've just been really busy, and the fact that the internet connection at home here in Bakersfield is STILL only 56k has sorta taken away all interest in "being connected" all the time. Meh. Let me just say that job searching has got to be THE single most hateful pastime ever.

That said, I have found ways of remaining happy with life. There's DDR, of course, as well as hanging out with my friends, but my latest addiction is Kingdom Hearts. Everyone raves about it, but I haven't had the time (or the PS2) required until pretty recently. Now that I've seen it in action (and beaten it finally), I gotta say that it is one of the most entertaining games I've ever played. Sure, it's not as challenging or whatnot as Halo or Gears of War, but the storyline is very fun and interesting and seeing classic Disney characters fight and interact in an RPG is awesome. I can't wait to pick up KH2 when I get my tax refund, and KH3 when it comes out.

Speaking of beating the game, I always like to watch the credits; mostly because there's usually some cool music and/or small cut scenes, but also to see who the voice actors were. Now normally, there might be one or two "big" names in the cast, but I was surprised at this one. It's pretty common knowledge that Haley Joel Osment voiced the main character, Sora, in KH2, but it's because he also voiced the same character in the first one as well. It's also interesting to note that Hayden Panetierre, whom Heroes fans know as Claire Bennet, voices Sora's "girlfriend," Kairi. Up until I started watching Heroes regularly, I hadn't really heard of this girl, but now it seems like she's popping up everywhere! Lol. There are a couple of other big names on the list, but I can't remember them now.
