Happy Halloween!

I already posted my favorite pic of my costume, and alas, I have no pumpkin carved yet! I plan on running to the store later to buy said pumpkin, though I'm still not sure what I'm going to put on it yet. Or maybe I won't do one this year, but that would be sad because I always do at least one a year. :( I don't know yet. I have homework and studying and all kinds of crap that I am currently procrastinating to do.

Stay tuned.

Halloween

I went to a party on Saturday night and took a bunch of pics, as well as a video of my friend Lindsey showing off her 1337 lightsaber skillz. The video, which I thank Frank for uploading on YouTube, can be found here. My favorite pic is below. Pfft, silly Phantom...his cane never stood a chance. :D

Let's Say Thanks!

I added a link to letssaythanks.com under the "Links" section over to the right, where you can send a card to our U.S. troops and let them know your appreciation. It's worth taking a few moments to pick out a design, type in your name and hometown, and add a greeting to let them know how grateful we are that they're out there fighting for our freedom and the freedom of those who can't help themselves.

To all of the soldiers out there: Thank you so much. Your actions do not go unnoticed or unthought of. Please stay safe out there.

first snow of the season!

It was snowing earlier. We got about half an inch. Now, it'll melt off and get a little warmer for a couple more weeks, and then the real winter cold and snows will hit.

Welcome to Rexburg, Idaho. :P

Yogos

I think I'm addicted! These Yogos things from Kellogg's are so freakin' good. But only the strawberry ones. I've tried the others and wasn't impressed. But these strawberry ones are yummy. I get a bunch whenever I go to Wal-Mart now. :]

I'm back!

Well, it was interesting to say the least. Oh, not the wedding, though; I mean the fact that I feel both like I was gone forever and like I never even left. o_O I hope this feeling passes quickly because it feels very strange.

Anyway, both the flight to and the flight back from Sacramento were smooth and uneventful...thank GOODNESS. I stayed with my mom's sister and her husband, who are moving to Rexburg in the winter, coincidentally. Their little 3 year old Adam is the cutest kid ever, but he moves from one thing to the next in no time at all. Pretty much the only thing that will keep him busy for any length of time is watching a movie. I wish my batteries hadn't died, because I wanted to take a pic of him so badly.

The wedding was very nice, though my dad's ex-wife Kelly couldn't resist getting her digs in. But she was polite for the most part, especially to me for good reason. I feel just a teensy bit left out, because BriAnne's other half-sister was one of the bridesmaids, but I wasn't even included at all. I don't blame my sister at all, because she had a lot on her plate and it's not like we see each other very often at all, plus the fact that I live three states away puts a damper on being there to help her. Anyway, I think they felt a little guilty because Kelly asked if I wanted a job, and so I got to artistically spread some flower petals along the sides of the aisle, and it looked great. My half-brother Kyle was the reverend; he got one of those "justice of the peace" things for a day in order to do it. My brother-in-law is the greatest, and they're going to be great together.

The only downside is that I got my nails done all pretty, only to remember that I'm taking a guitar class and there's no easy way of getting rid of these things. :|

my sister's wedding

My sister (half-sister if you want to be technical) is getting married tomorrow in Sacramento. I'm flying out today and returning on Sunday, and I'm not taking my laptop with me, so Peace Out 'til Monday. Have a good weekend everyone!

weather

Well, that was fun. It rained early this morning, so I brought a hoodie with me to keep my hair dry, but then it was sunny all day, and warm enough I definitely didn't need the hoodie. But just a couple hours ago, I decided to check the forecast for my area, only to find there was a tornado warning in my county. Wait, what? I went and looked outside, and sure enough there were some nasty lookin' clouds on the horizon, and it was heading right for Rexburg. I have to admit I was a bit freaked out! I haven't been anywhere near a tornado in a long time; at least 10 years. But I stayed as calm as I could, rationalizing that until the sky turned strange colors, there was nothing to freak out about. But as it got closer and got really dark and the wind picked up, I started panicking again, barely able to keep my eyes away from the gathering storm for fear I would miss something. Soon enough, it started pouring, and I mean pouring rain. Torrents of water started collecting in the gutter and turned the road into a raging river. And I'm not even kidding. It was flash flooding faster than I've ever seen before. And then it hailed; a LOT. And that's when the sun started peeking out from the other side of the storm, turning the clouds colors and freaking me out even more, because I've always heard that tornados occur at the edge of a storm. But I remained glued to the spot, watching in awe as the hail came down like a blizzard and covered the ground in a mere couple of minutes and the lightning and thunder all around me was awesome. Then, as the sun continued to shine from under the clouds, a huge, full rainbow appeared right over the hill up to the MC and Taylor buildings. I managed a couple pictures through the door before the batteries died, so I'll post them when I get a chance. I was at peace at that point, because I knew there wasn't going to be a tornado, and I relaxed, thinking how awesome thunderstorms are.
