checking in!
So it's been awhile...again...Another summer come and gone and the Erin is exhausted. But I am excited to finally be taking a vacation between being done with my summer job and heading back to school next week. My friend from Utah is in California for the week, and we're having a blast already. She flew into Long Beach this morning at 9:30, and I sat out in a parking lot for an hour and a half beforehand because *I* thought an hour's worth of cushion time added onto the normal two-hour drive would be plenty to account for L.A. traffic, but Mom was like "rararar you haven't seen enough L.A. traffic and you don't know and blahblahblah and your friend is going to be standing there waiting for you if you don't give yourself at least 4 hours to get there..." So fine, I left at 5:30 instead of 6:30, when I probably could have left at 6:30 and been perfectly fine.
Once I picked her up, we found out we couldn't check into our hotel until midafternoon, so we went straight to Disneyland. We've got those three-day park hopper cards, so we're going back tomorrow and then probably to California Adventure on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday we'll be checking out Little Tokyo and the beach and possibly some other stuff, so all in all it promises to be a fun week.
Apart from some minor details like not having A/C in my little Saturn and trying really hard not to spend every last dime I've got on the awesome stuff in Tomorrowland, that is. ^^; And the A/C in the hotel room is most DEFINITELY working...I'm freezing!
